Yoga classes in English Seville!

In this 2.5 hour yoga session, we will explore the concepts of Scaravelli Yoga. The theme of the workshop will be exploring the natural wave and lengthening of the spine with the power of the breath. We will explore different asanas, including some of the traditional asanas practiced in the style of Scaravelli Yoga, as well as asanas in the extension and twist categories, all with the principles of the ground, breath, and lengthening of the spine. The extended class time offers the opportunity to explore, unwind, and discover the movement of the breath in your body. We will focus on specific asanas, as practiced in Scaravelli Yoga, as well as pranayama.

Scaravelli Yoga is a deceptively gentle form of Hatha yoga, which focuses on developing core stress through releasing tension and creating length in the spine.

The cost of the yoga session is 25€ or 20€ for participants who enroll by March 14th. The yoga session is from 10:30 to 13:00, on Sunday, March 18th. Please arrive 15 minutes early. 🙂

All yoga props such as yoga mats and blocks are provided, however, participants are welcome to bring their own yoga mat.

Guinevere Joy Biography:
 
I have practiced yoga for almost 20 years in the style of yoga that originates from Vanda Scaravelli, known as Scaravelli Yoga. This technique focuses on three principles: the ground, breath, and spine. I have found that this style of yoga can be adapted to students of all levels, however, it is deceptively gentle: through many different asanas, with the intention of discovering the breath and ground through playful movement, the range of motion and spinal as well as muscle lengthening are increased, as well as strengthening your internal core in a way that is more efficient than typical core strengthening exercises.
 
I completed a two-year Yoga Teacher Training Program at Esther Myers Yoga Studio in Toronto, Canada. Esther Myers studied closely with Vanda Scaravelli, and her approach to yoga is based on the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.

En esta sesión de yoga de 2,5 horas exploraremos los conceptos de Yoga Scaravelli. El tema del taller explorará la ola natural y el alargamiento de la columna vertebral con el poder de la respiración.

Exploraremos diversas asanas, incluyendo algunas de las asanas tradicionales practicadas en el estilo del yoga de Scaravelli, así como asanas en las categorías de la extensión y torsión. Esta técnica está basada en tres principios: el suelo, la respiración y la columna vertebral.

Scaravelli Yoga es una forma engañosamente suave de Hatha Yoga, que se centra en el desarrollo de la fuerza del core a través de la liberación de la tensión y la creación de longitud en la columna vertebral.
